Tamil Nadu to set up Rs.100-Cr "co-creation fund"
The government of Tamil Nadu will set up an INR 100 crore "Co-creation Fund" that will participate in private sector venture capital (VC) funds. Announced as part of the "Tamil Nadu Startup and Innovation Policy 2023", the fund - to be coordinated by The Tamil Nadu Startup and Innovation Mission (StartupTN) - will see the State contributing 40% (with a ceiling of INR 10 crore) in regional, rural impact, women and climate action-focused funds and 20% (with a ceiling of INR 5 crore) in other thematic funds promoted by the private sector.
